Job description
We are looking for an experienced warehouse manager for our warehouse based in NW2. Our company is a growing automotive parts and accessory distribution company with a current focus on motorcycles.
The Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensuring completion of orders by and with other members of the warehouse team.
- Be a role model to other team members and create a good working environment.
- Resolving or/and escalates conflict and provides solutions and executes corrective actions.
- Carrying out performance monitoring of team members on shift.
- Liaising with members of management to report productiveness, growth and arising issues.
- Communicating, engaging, and developing team members to enable them to maximise their contribution to the section's performance.
- Be accountable for compliance with health and safety standards in the warehouse.
- Ensuring warehouse is reaching a high level of efficiency with shelves full.
- Ensuring regular routine checks on packing tools, ladders, forklifts and delivery vehicles including reporting any damage.
- organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress, implementing disciplinary procedures where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Ideally educated to a degree level but not essential
Work Experience:
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment leading a team.
- Previous shift / staff management experience in a warehouse.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant warehouse management experience
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
- H&S experience/qualification preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Team management skills
- IT skills including Microsoft excel and outlook.
- Proactive and flexible attitude
- Sound analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Hours of Work:
- Monday – Friday 8.30am – 6.30pm
- Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays.
- FULL-TIME POSITIONS ONLY, all workers are expected to be able to follow shift rotation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year
