The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a full-time, permanent role based at our Warehouse in Marchington. You will carry out a range of administrative tasks to support the Warehouse Manager and wider team to successfully deliver against operational objectives and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Source and purchase spare parts, supplies, cleaning equipment etc to ensure the warehouse team have the resources required to meet operational needs.
- QC documentation and administration of the QC department
- Raise purchase orders on warehouse management system and ensure goods are delivered.
- Assist Warehouse Manager with recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Record agency working hours and update timesheets
- Work closely with internal drivers/external hauliers to log service jobs and allocate damage costs to the correct project on warehouse management system.
- Generate service quotations and issue damage charges to the customer.
- Work closely with supervisors to record and maintain adequate stock levels, PPE and tools
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Keep an up-to-date record of near misses and accidents and highlight trends to Warehouse Manager and HSE Manager
- Assist Warehouse Manager with facility management of Warehouse. This includes responding to facilities requests and liaising with third parties to resolve any issues promptly.
- Carry out ad-hoc administrative tasks (typing, meeting minutes, booking hotels)
- Ad-hoc assistance to the warehouse (cleaning fridges or stock takes)
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- 1+ years of administrative experience (ideally in a warehouse environment)
- Excellent administrative skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organisation and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Computer literate, experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience of maintaining and reporting on spreadsheets
- Good levels of both written and spoken English
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Good team working skills and the ability to also work on your own
Desirable
· Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
· Previous experience in warehouse/logistics environment
