Our Business is continuously evolving, and as we prepare to enter the next stage of growth, we are looking for a Senior Leader to manage our full-scale warehouse operations (Receiving, QC, Picking, Packing, Shipping).
In this role you will be responsible for Managing all aspects of People-Process-Technology as they pertain to our Warehousing Operation (including but not limited to inbound, outbound and everything in between); with focus on mentoring and developing members of the Warehouse Leadership Team (Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders, Coaches, and high performing Team Members). Your goal will be to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our Warehouse Operation, while closely collaborating and supporting other areas of business in Canada and the US.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Plan and oversee Operations of large Warehouse facility (greater than 200,000 ft2).
- Mentor and Develop individual members of Warehouse Leadership Team; identify high performers, and create a development plan for career growth.
- Organize and Manage workflow of Warehouse Team Leaders and Team Members as it relates to Schedules, KPI’s and Health & Safety policies/procedures.
- Change Management - develop and implement strategies and plans that maximize adoption and usage of required changes (policies, procedures, systems, etc.), and minimize resistant behaviors from those impacted by change.
- Implement processes and procedures to support and improve productivity and service goals.
- Work closely with internal Managers and stakeholders (Customer Service, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, HR, etc.) to ensure that Timelines and Quality needs are being met.
- Uphold a Performance Management Program that promotes and continuously improves, productivity and overall efficiency.
- Manage Warehouse Labour Plan (Full-Time, Seasonal, Peak, Occasional, Project, etc.)
- Drive Recruitment & Retention strategies to hire, train, develop and effectively manage staffing requirements within all areas of the Warehouse Operation.
- Ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe manner, and all team members work safely and in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure that the Facility is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly fashion.
- Ensure that Supervisors, Specialists and Team Members are properly trained, certified and organized with operational tasks.
- · Reduce risk of Workplace Hazards (personal illness/injury, and product, property and equipment damage).
- Understand and promote Quality Assurance programs relating to inventory accuracy; performing inspections when required.
- Oversee Communication strategy including General Meetings, feedback sessions coaching, discussions, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree, CITT, or CPIM certification (preferred).
- 15 years of inventory management, supply chain distribution and/or third-party logistics (3pl) experience.
- Experience managing and maintaining compliance of a CTPAT certified facility.
- 12-15 years of experience in a Supervisory or Management role.
- Demonstrated experience, coaching and developing team members and Supervisors.
- Hands-on approach; willingness to roll-up your sleeves, jump in and do whatever it takes to get the job done!
- Deep knowledge of warehouse systems, procedures with focus on performance metrics.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with WMS, ERP, HRIS, BI, MS office products and other industry specific tools and technology.
- Previous systems implementation experience (WMS, ERP, HRIS, etc.) will be considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Tech Savvy; strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related systems. Comfortable with operations reports and analytics.
- Motivation Skills for effective Leadership; capable of creating a positive workplace culture that increases productivity.
- Capable of effectively leading by example; inspire, encourage, support and guides your team.
- Available to work schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 4:00pm with occasional weekend work through peak months.
