About The Role
This role is absolutely crucial to the smooth running of our day-to-day bread & butter of brewing + packing great beer, storing great beer, and ensuring our awesome customers receive our great beer in the best possible condition.
As our Warehouse Coordinator, you’ll be working within our Production Team, reporting into our Head Brewer. The primary responsibility within this role, is to be the “gate-keeper” to our warehouse, for all stock coming and going, for the brewery and retail.
As our Warehouse Coordinator, you’ll will work closely with our Head Brewer and production team, along with senior members of our Bars/Retail Team, the Marketing + e-Comm Manager, and the CEO. The role will require excellent organisational skills and time-management, along with discipline in following processes to ensure records are kept accurately.
This role will give you hands-on experience and insights into the full running of a brewery, both in terms of production, but also the commercial business as well. You’ll be our star all-round midfielder in connecting our engine-room (production), to our kick-ass forwards (sales team) up-front. Energy, passion, empathy, excellent communication, highly organised, and team-work will be the key characteristics of the Warehouse Coordinator. Solving problems, improving processes and ultimately helping to facilitate the growth our business is experiencing at present, and into the future.- Full management of our brewery + retail warehouse in Murrarie. This includes stock-control and management (including reporting) within the cool-room (for the brewery and retail), and also the general management of the warehouse space, in terms of storage of equipment, and general tidiness
- Packing beer orders for the Brewery, and forklifting the orders onto/into collection trucks on a daily basis
- Ensuring our packaged beer is sent to customers on a First-In, First-Out basis, based on expiry date
- Managing orders from our retail team, for DogTap and BreDog Fortitude Valley (keg and pack), to ensure they get the stock required and it’s recorded accurately. Delivering stock to DogTap and BrewDog Fortitude Valley, on select days
- Ensuring empty kegs from BrewDog Fortitude Valley are returned to the brewery
- Assisting the E-Comm manager with On-Line order fulfilment, where required
- Receiving supplier deliveries for the Brewery and Retail, into the warehouse, and ensuring these receivals are recorded and stored as required
- Recording and reporting of all BrewDog stock movements into and out of the warehouse and cool-room, and recording stock on hand each month, on the last day of the month
- Working with, and managing the software programs required, to record stock movements, stock on hand records, and batch tracking
- Working with the Production team, as required, to support the team with all facets of production
- The first point of contact for all on-site visitors to the brewery and offices, signing-in visitors, and briefing visitors on restrictions and safety required for on-site visits
- Longer-term, delivering select customers in SEQ, 1-day a week with orders direct from our warehouse
- Keeping the warehouse and cool-room clean and tidy on a weekly basis
- Process discipline – ensuring all safety and security procedures are adhered to
- Organisation and management of daily warehouse and loading dock records
- Adhere to all rules, regulations, policies, programs and related BrewDog HACCP, GMP, 6S etc. to ensure safety / quality / efficiency of BrewDog projects, products and equipment.
- Comply with and drive adherence to all QHSE & PPE Policies without exception.
- Be proactive in maintaining plant hygiene with reference to cleaning plans, schedules and ad-hoc cleaning requirements.
- Execute given tasks including operating equipment in a consistent, safe and efficient manner, according to our established standards and SOPs.
- Be a team player who works collaboratively, is flexible and shares & supports those around them.
- Ensure site Health & Safety standards are met, showing a proactive attitude towards creating a safe working environment for yourself and the Warehouse Operations team.
- Maintain overall hygiene standards, cleaning and maintaining the site & encouraging the highest standards of housekeeping.
- Assist with any reasonable management request to facilitate the safe delivery of goods.
- Review your processes & suggest improvements as part of the Supply Chain continuous improvement ethos.
- Build strong working relationships with other BrewDog crew members.
- Packing, palletising and wrapping goods for shipment according to internal procedures.
- Carry out instructed tasks from supervisors and manager.
- Communicate effectively with others and help other members of the team with their tasks if needed.
About You
- Unlimited working rights in Australia (VISA)
- Read, write and speak fluent English.
- Forklift Licence
- Australian Drivers Licence
- A good level of numeracy skill is required.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Basic experience of IT systems including the use of WMS systems preferred.
- Moving cases, kegs & other manual lifting tasks needed so a level of fitness will be required.
- Foundation level of process trouble shooting
- Experience in stock management and order fulfilment
- Experience in data management and systems management
- A working knowledge of health and safety within warehouses and production sites
- Experience in working within a restricted access warehouse
