Discover career progression and security with the largest food service provider in the UK. We’re big believers in investing in our people and promoting from within. There’ll be no limit to your potential with us. In fact, almost 90% of our managers started life here in a warehouse job. So, once you join our friendly and supportive warehouse team, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to move shifts, move roles – and move up.
You’ll start with four to six weeks onboarding, training, and coaching to welcome you into the Brakes family and get you up to speed with how we work. You’ll have a coach to support you as you learn about everything from stock control to management. You’ll be trained to work in all of our temperature regimes - ambient, chilled and frozen and rotate throughout them during your shift. This will keep your days and weeks varied and mean you get to work with and make friends with everyone.
To join us as a Hygiene Operative, you’ll likely have some previous experience in a similar role handling and using chemicals. You will have an eye for detail, particularly when the tasks are repetitive. You will also need to be physically fit (there will be bending, lifting, stretching and standing) with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative. More importantly, we ask for great observation skills and the ability to understand and read English. Added to which you’ll enjoy some amazing benefits which include:
- The opportunity to buy wholesale food at massively discounted prices
- A subsidised canteen
- Free thermal uniform and PPE
- Generous annual leave with option to buy more
- Heavily discounted quality food, hotels and restaurants
- Reward, recognition and referral schemes
- Pension scheme
- Cycle to work scheme
- Free onsite parking with electric points
- Occupational Health Physio on site
- A health and wellbeing programme to look after you.
Join our valuable team and see how far you could go with us.
