Westfield Medical is a leading UK manufacturer of sterilisation barrier systems and we are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse/Goods In Operator.
As a Good In Operative at Westfield Medical, it will be your job to provide raw materials to all machines in the production area, in a timely and safe manner. This will be to ensure all machines run effectively and efficiently at all times.
This role reports to the Planning and Logistics Manager and Goods In Team Leader.
Role and Responsibilities
· Ensuring all machines have the materials available that they require.
· Coordination with the clean room to ensure production materials are always available and that kits are prepared in advance and ready to deliver to the clean room via the air lock. This delivery must be in line with the clean room procedure.
· Ensure a location is made available for bag machine paper so the operators can come and collect when required.
· To accept raw material deliveries.
· To check all deliveries, to reject any materials which are not of the required standard and to record any batch numbers of reject material and report it to quality and purchasing.
· To ensure the kitting area and raw material storage area are kept clean, tidy and organised at all times.
· To ensure issuing of materials is carried out correctly on Epicor and that all batch numbers are correct to ensure full traceability to comply with BSI regulations.
· To ensure any material discrepancies are resolved immediately by recording and reporting the discrepancy to purchasing.
· To participate in stock take.
· To set up locations for raw materials to ensure easy location.
· To comply with health and safety regulations.
· To ensure the skip areas are kept tidy and ensure they are emptied regularly. To empty factory bins and assist with general housekeeping.
· The ideal candidate will have; previous experience of working in a warehouse environment, have current reach and counterbalance forklift licences, be able to work within a team environment and have experience with ERP systems.
