About Our Client
Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a reputable UK Retail & Fashion logistics provider in their search for a Warehouse Distribution Centre Manager to oversee their UK flagship facility in Castle Donington.
This role will play a critical part in this organisations expansion plans, the successful candidate will be on a development path to a Director level position within 3 years.
Job Description
The Warehouse Distribution Centre Manager role will require the individual to:
- Report to the Logistics & Supply Chain Director (or similar).
- Manage a team of 120+ operatives through 3 direct reports, at an Operations Manager & Shift Operations Manager level across various shifts.
- Be responsible for inbound, pick and outbound operations.
- Have full control of the operating budget for headcount.
- Be responsible for the inventory management through your teams.
- Be responsible for ensuring the daily analysis, reporting and performance metrics are adhered to.
- Full site H&S control.
- Accountable for people development and performance management within the operation.
- Commutable to Castle Donington, Derby.
This role would suit a candidate that has worked in a; Warehouse Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Depot Manager, Site Manager or General Manager role previously.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Warehouse Distribution Centre Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
- Be educated to an A Level or Degree Level standard - Advantageous.
- A minimum of 3+ years Logistics experience at an Site Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, Site Manager or General Manager level - Essential.
- Have worked within a Retail / Fashion / E-Commerce or 3PL environment previously - Essential.
- Have managed in excess of 150+ employees indirectly before - Essential.
- Have experience of Six Sigma / Prince2 / Continuous Improvement methodologies - Advantageous.
- A competent user of Microsoft packages including Excel, along with the ability to up skill quickly around WMS's - Essential.
- Experience on managing budgets up to £5m+ per year - Advantageous.
- Be results driven and commercially minded.
- Be commutable to Castle Donington, Derby.
What's on Offer
This role offers:
- Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 - DOE.
- Company Car / Car Allowance - £450pm
