EXPERIENCED WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
We are adding a permanent Warehouse Associate role at our Newport Cold Store to complete our team. There is opportunity to grow at a fast pace within the business for talented and enthusiastic individuals. This is a full-time post, working from Monday to Friday between 8.00am to 5pm (42.5 hours per week paid).
Note: The role involves working in a cold store at temperatures of -18 degrees. All appropriate PPE will be provided.
Responsibilities
· Overseeing the case scanning operation with a high degree of accuracy, using a handheld scanner to locate stock in the WMS.
· Checking the quality of goods received and despatched, checking for damages and reporting any issues to the Site and Operations Managers.
· Checking the temperature of every pallet received and despatched.
· Where issues are discovered, take corrective actions as required (e.g. extra shrink wrapping).
· Ensuring that the receipted goods match the POD.
· Checking that the pre-picked goods for despatch are the correct goods as stated on the pick sheet.
· Reporting any mis-picks to the Site Manager and at the point of discovery.
· Ensuring that the receipt and despatch paperwork is completed correctly before handing into the office for processing.
· Maintaining warehouse cleanliness (e.g. sweeping, disposing of broken pallets).
· Handballing containers (e.g. manual handling).
· Other ad-hoc warehouse duties as required.
Skills and Experience
· Experience in a busy warehouse environment
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Organised and able to prioritise workload
