deVOL Kitchens is one of the leading and most highly regarded kitchen companies in the UK, with manufacturing and design offices based in Leicestershire, London and New York.
We are looking for a highly motivated, friendly, and capable person to join our rapidly growing purchasing team.
We are looking for a positive and professional candidate who will be able to fulfil all daily duties of the purchasing role and support other members of the team. This is a very responsible role which requires organisation, clear and firm communication, and good decision-making ability. The ideal candidate would be confident and proactive with an eye for detail.
This role involves liaising with couriers, checking incoming stock for faults and dispatching various items. A very high standard of attention to detail is a must for this role.
Your duties would include but are not limited to:
- Prepare all labels and paperwork required for shipment of goods
- Dispatching items sold through our website
- Quality control tests to ensure conformance to company standards on goods before dispatch
- Ensure all stock and packaging materials are stored correctly
- Communicate with Purchasing Manager regarding any stock control shortage or concerns
- Inform Purchasing Manager of any supplier or customer returns
- Maintain clean and tidy areas, ensuring operational efficiency
- General administrative work within the Purchasing department
We would love you to have:
- The confidence to carry out a task independently (Initial training will be provided).
- Relevant logistics experience (advantageous but not necessary).
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
- The ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner, verbally and in writing, at all levels within the company, and with suppliers.
- Team player who can communicate well and work closely with others
- Forklift license (advantageous but not necessary)
We offer a competitive salary based on experience and during your first year you will receive training in the role and performance appraisals where your pay will be reviewed.
After this we offer annual pay reviews and continued support from the team.
You will receive 22 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) which can increase with length of service and experience, as well as life insurance, company pension, a cycle 2 work scheme and company events.
