Brew York – Warehouse Assistant

We have an opportunity for someone to join our great team. You must be fit and capable of heavy lifting, self-motivated and above all friendly and reliable. A cheerful personality and good customer service will be key to this role.  The role will be varied dependent on business needs. Shifts will be 8 hours between the hours of 6am and 8pm

Warehouse – Goods out management.

Prepping dray runs – Preparation of the following days dray run. This will involve pulling stock in the appropriate vessels and dispatching orders where applicable

Eebria/APC orders – preparing the days Orders. These are Can and Keg orders processed through a third-party website. We then fulfil these orders by applying the provided postage label to the vessel/package and by having them ready for collection

Brewery collections – occasionally we receive orders where the recipient will collect their order from the brewery. You will be required to prepare these.

Wholesale orders – Prepare pallets of goods ready for dispatch to wholesale customers

Warehouse – Reorganisation – Stock turnover can be quite quick so reorganisation of the two cellars is a weekly or sometimes daily activity. Responsible for this activity using the drayman where possible to assist

Warehouse – Stock take – every Friday and at month end you will be expected to prepare an inventory of all stock held within each cellar

Adhoc deliveries – On occasion you may be required to cover the dray runs or deliver things such as the mobile bar to promotion events, weddings etc

Maintenance – ensure general maintenance of the building is kept up to date and issues dealt with (only when on-site parking is available)

Confirm necessary paperwork produced in time for delivery schedule

Confirm all paperwork produced in time for courier collection

8. Ensure all kegstar returns are logged onto the system and assist in tracing

9. Ensure all return containers have been booked in on Breww

10. Ensure Stock is dispatched by date/Gyle order

11. Monitor BB dates and notify line manager accordingly

12. Ullage- conduct receipt paperwork – initiate investigation/ process

13. Dispatch Drayman for container collections

14. Ensure cover for Drayman when unavailable

15. Oversee underfill process

16. Ensure all deliveries are met and cleared daily, perform Dray runs if resource requires.

17. Ensure all parts of Brew York at Handley (unit 1 & Unit ABC) and Walmgate are organised and tidy.

Key requirements for this role:

Essential:

  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Fork lift Qualification
  • Experience of working with computers

Desired:

  • Good knowledge of the Craft Beer sector
  • Knowledge of Brew York’s Beer

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £19,760.00-£21,673.60 per year
