Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable person to join our team at Nickolls and Perks. We are a well-established family run Wine and Spirits Merchants operating from our offices and shop in the centre of Stourbridge Town.

We want someone to come and join our hard-working, diverse and friendly workforce. The role will be within our warehouse focusing on goods-in procedures as well as stock control and delivery driving within the local area.

Duties will include:

• Delivery of products around the local area in our company van
• Goods in processing, locating and putting stock away
• Packing and processing orders ready for dispatch
• General tidying of the warehouse
• Stock management and control

Applicants must have a full UK driving license with no points, and be aged 25 or over (due to insurance requirements).

Required skills:

• Attention to detail, when picking stock for orders or putting it away in the correct locations
• Physical organisational skills in order to manage the stock within the warehouse, and relocate it to create more space when needed
• Enthusiastic and high energy levels, ready to get stuck into tasks
• Proritising tasks to ensure they are completed on time
• Effective communication skills, working with a range of different people
• Active listening, must be happy to take on instruction from senior members of the team and undertake tasks efficiently
• Time management, making the most of the working hours during the day

Good IT skills and confidence using computers would be ideal, as well as an ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment during our peak times. The role will include various responsibilities so individuals must be adaptable and able to switch between tasks quickly.

Please note that the nature of the role will include lifting cases of wine and spirits.
