An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Arrivals Supervisor to join a very busy distribution warehouse based in Dartford.
We are a well established storage and Distribution Centre of fresh produce from worldwide exporters, growers and importers, with particular expertise in delivering to the UK wholesale markets.
The role:
As an Arrival Supervisor, you’ll need to support the Warehouse management team to ensure all Arrivals are accounted for in an accurate, timely and safe manner. Liaise with other departments. Manage all Arrivals onto site, while working with the QC, Traffic Marshall and Shunter teams to ensure a smooth operation. Use space and mechanical handling equipment safely and efficiently. Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse operates.
As an Arrivals Supervisor, you'll need to control and account for all product arrivals into Fresh Service Ltd. Liaise with the Inbound and Logistics team on all planned arrivals. Coordinate and monitor all inbound product. Use space and mechanical handling equipment safely and efficiently, making sure environmental objectives are met. Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how Arrival in operates.
Responsibilities:
· Deputise for the WH Supervisor in their absence
· Liaise with front desk and CSD on all arrivals into Fresh Service Ltd
· Plan weekly Arrival volumes by temperature and manage space required
· Monitor capacity for possible issues going forward
· Notify WH Management team of possible issues due to capacity
· Ensure all inbound product is labelled correctly (pallet and defect labels)
· Ensure all product is scanned onto site and to the correct location
· Ensure all GRN paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner
· Monitor store temperatures and report issues found
· Follow bay procedure and drivers keys are managed safely
· Ensure site is ready for day’s workload (including Breakdown area)
· Monitor top yard operation as required
· Report all issues to the CSD team to enable them to report back to the customer
· Work with QC operation to ensure product is made available for inspection
· Maintain Warehouse hygiene standards
· Support as required arrivals, order picking, assembly, labelling, and dispatch to ensure they are completed in an accurate, timely and safe manner
· Ensure Warehouse equipment is placed on charge every night and is maintained in a safe working order. Note: all damage or repairs must be reported to the Warehouse Manager immediately
- Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these requirements
- Support training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
- Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene. COSHH and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely
- Ensure a knowledge of Company policies and employment law and ensure relevant HR procedures are followed
- Support staff holidays across department
- Ensure a full understanding of Warehouse and Dispatch duties
- Ensure a full understanding of the hand-held scanners relating to order assembly and stock management
- Ensure accurate and safe loading of Lorries (keys removed)

Working hours and Salary:
· Contract type: Permanent
· Days of work: 4 on 4 off rota 7am to 7pm
· Training would be on a 5 in 7 basis to be confirmed
Salary: : £ 28,000 – 30,000
· Payment every 4 weeks
