Role outlined
- Accurate picking of stock as required using picking note.
- Packing of stock ready for despatch, ensuring care and attention at all times to prevent any damage.
- Assisting with delivery of goods in.
- Unloading deliveries using a counterbalance forklift truck to unload vans and lorries.
- Reconciling delivered items against goods-in paperwork.
- Putting stock in correct stock locations.
- Assisting with stock relocation as requested.
- Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy at all times.
- Working to deadlines to ensure orders are picked and despatched on time.
- Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in order to adhere to Company standards.
- When required, assist the transport department which may include making deliveries to our customers.
- Dealing with all departments and branches both in person and on the telephone.
- Build relationships with internal and external customers both in person and on the telephone.
- To ensure that the correct manual handling/lifting techniques are used when storing/preparing/returning goods.
What level of experience will I need?
- Experience gained within a warehouse environment
- Fork-lift experience preferred
- A full UK manual driving licence (for at least 12 months)
- A warm, caring and welcoming personality to our customers
- Self-motivated and team player
- Strong work ethic and the willingness to go the extra mile
