PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: We require candidates who can work regular full time hours, including weekends. We require candidates to be permanently based in Liverpool and do not relocate for prolonged periods throughout the year.

You will play one of the most important roles in ensuring that our customers are happy. You will be the face of The Watering Can to our customers and must be passionate about delivering the best experience possible.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to our customer journey.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Seating and introduction to the dining.
  • Taking orders in a timely fashion, anticipating and monitoring customers’ needs.
  • Ability to explain any item on the menu, including ingredients and allergens.
  • Making recommendations to customers.
  • General tidying of the café during quiet / closing times.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirements

Essential

  • Demonstrable waiting on experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent ability to read customers, their needs and wants.
  • Engaging, friendly and approachable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hygiene, food and safety standards and allergens.

Desirable

  • Strong appreciation of top quality, locally sourced ingredients.
  • Broad knowledge of food and drink.
  • Alcohol licensing laws awareness.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: £NMW but up to £10.5 per hour DoE.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £10.50 per hour
