Avaliable Job Today The main objective of the Waiter / Waitress role will be to Provide excellent customer service to customers directly. Introduce customers to the menu and announce daily or seasonal menu specials and take orders for both food and drink. This role will also include some bar work. You will consistently prepare, mix, and serve drinks and beverages correctly. Where applicable, you must follow menu specifications and this role is reportable directly to the FOH management team. It is important that this role be met with a passion for excellent service, and you must exceed customers’ needs and expectations.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

· The main responsibilities of the Waiting Staff will be to take food and beverage orders from customers in a timely manner, and serve food and drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail.

· In this role you must deliver customer satisfaction by maintaining an exceptional standard of service and professionalism, welcoming customers to the venue to ensure a positive and friendly guest experience for all.

· Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.

· Due to being face-to-face with customers, the Waiting staff must set high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times.

· A positive attitude must be adopted towards teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of the premises, and interacting productively with other departments.

· This role is also about passing on knowledge and you must be prepared to work with and set an excellent example for new and existing staff members. This is all part of our commitment to developing our teams within the company.

Operational Duties

· Prepping your work area for the day’s events, ensuring that all seating area and tables are replenished with correct utensils and condiments, ensuring the bar is well-stocked with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, fruit garnishes and other accessories to streamline drink preparation and inventory.

· Ensuring that the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to cleaned to maintain a sanitary environment.

· Follow the recipes and presentation specifications as dictated by the line managers and as written into drinks specification books.

· Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information

· Collects food orders from the kitchen, verifies that they are correct, and serves them to customers.

· It is imperative that Staff comply with UK law, checking identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age where applicable. This also includes limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour.

Salary: £5.28-£10.42 per hour
