Waiter

Waiter Cupar, Scotland

The Peat Inn
Full Time Cupar, Scotland 24000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

The Peat Inn is thought to have been built on this spot in the mid-1700s. Gradually, the surrounding village grew up around the Inn, taking its name from the Inn itself, creating our unusual address: The Peat Inn, Peat Inn.

The original building has served down the centuries as a coaching inn, a hotel, a pub and a restaurant. Through these changing incarnations, The Peat Inn has an uninterrupted history of offering hospitality for around two hundred and fifty years.

Today, it is a Michelin starred restaurant with rooms, welcoming guests who appreciate the very personal experience, excellent cooking and thoughtful service, which are the hallmarks of The Peat Inn. Additionally, in The Residence, eight suites offer the opportunity for a rather special night away, where the pleasures of the table can extend into an overnight stay.

What can you expect in return?

  • The chance to join a well-established company
  • The opportunity to become part of a professional, mature, calm, dedicated team
  • To showcase your knowledge and experience
  • Discounted friends and family rates in the restaurant
  • Staff uniform provided
  • Open dinner service 5 days a week and lunch service Friday & Saturday
  • We are closed Sundays and Mondays
  • Five weeks holiday, plus we close over Christmas

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Experience as a Front of House in a busy restaurant
  • You must have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about wide aspects of food and wine
  • A willingness and desire to widen your existing knowledge
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • A calm, professional and supportive demeanour and an ability to absorb pressure at busy times without any impact on work quality

What will your role as a Front of House look like?

  • Be devoted to our customers by providing the highest possible standards of customer service in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • To support the management team and colleagues, while contributing to growing the success and reputation of the business
  • Work as a team in setting up and preparing the restaurant before service begins
