Are you an experienced individual within the field of disaster recovery? Have you been leading a team within your current role and looking to take this to the next step? We are currently working with a global company within the fintech space who are looking for a VP Of Disaster Recovery to implement disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management strategies across their international offices.
As one of the world’s largest online brokers with offices in over 16 countries, this company are in the process of expanding into the UK and are therefore building out an entire security function. Based in Reading, they are looking for a VP of Disaster Recovery to build, mentor and lead the team implementing strategies across global offices. As VP you will be expected to remain hands-on, leading by example and therefore should be working in a hands-on position currently.
Responsibilities within the role will include:

As VP of Disaster Recovery you will have the opportunity to build and lead a new team, influencing the strategy across the global scale for this business. As the office is based in Reading there is an expectation to be in the office on a weekly basis where possible. The salary for this position is up to £150,000 depending on experience and has a benefit package including annual performance bonus.

- Creating a vision, strategy and roadmap for the companies Disaster Recovery team.
- Identifying critical processes and systems within the companies business operation and protecting these with BCP and DR practices.
- Promoting a culture of disaster-preparedness across all departments.
- Lead all response and recovery activities in the event of a major incident.
Skills Required;
- Previous hands-on experience in an engineering / infrastructure role
- Thorough knowledge of information security and disaster recovery best practices.
- Familiarity with legacy and modern application architectures and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience in Linux and Cloud Computing.
