The Role
Do you get excited by complex financial challenges in high growth companies? At FintechForce we support our Fintech clients at every major milestone. We’re looking for a VP Finance in the UK with the ability to lead and serve multiple clients. You must have experience working in the Fintech space. You will be relied on to cover a wide range of strategic responsibilities and have the opportunity to influence and offer quality, meaningful analyses and financial perspectives necessary for our client’s decisions and strategic planning.
The role is remote; however, we are looking for somebody in the UK to focus on our current clients in the UK and throughout Europe, help us grow our presence there, and build and oversee a cross functional team that may include Accounting, FP&A, Tax and Compliance
An ideal candidate will be proactive and have the ability to be able to independently identify and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Experience in both start-ups as well as public companies would be valuable.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner and work collaboratively as a trusted advisor with our client’s Executive Team(s), Senior Leadership Team(s), and Board of Directors on strategic initiatives, budgeting, reporting, and operational models
- Drive proactive capital planning and be responsible for driving equity, debt and risk capital transactions and support M&A efforts with insightful analysis and due diligence for our clients.
- Partner with clients to help them deliver measurable and sustainable improvements in financial and business KPIs
- Keep business plans and projects on track and on budget with ongoing budget management and monitoring for variance reporting and rolling forecasts
- Support successful investor discussion and board meetings by analyzing and tracking relevant KPIs
- Support fundraising initiatives by drafting investor decks and assisting with mock pitches and term sheet comparisons
- Provide financial and operational metrics and analytics to stakeholders including investors, Board of Directors, employees and senior management, and support proactive relations with all
- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of our clients – running goals, budgets, and forecasts
- Drive preparation and presentation of monthly financial budget reports for our clients, including monthly P&L, cash flow, and forecast vs. budget
- Identify and recruit talented professionals to join your team; oversee, direct, and organize the work of a high-performing finance team, ensuring staff receive appropriate training, career development and performance management
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of finance experience with 5+ years hands-on experience in a financial management position in a fast growing company
- Experience working in the Fintech space
- Experience building cross functional teams
- Experience working in a professional services firm
- Extensive knowledge of the business language, practices, personalities and culture of Silicon Valley and Venture Capital firms
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- A willingness and aptitude for marketing and extending the FintechForce brand
- Highly analytical with ability to consume and process large amounts of unstructured information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
- Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Ability to interact with and influence people at all levels of an organization
- Excellent analytical skills for budgeting/forecasting combined with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to present complex information in a usable format to a diverse audience
- Experience establishing and implementing and adhering to process improvement initiatives within a high growth environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams: achieving organizational focus on key priorities, providing clear direction, delegating, actively communicating and coaching/mentoring

The starting base pay for this role is between £100,000 and £150,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of FintechForce's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
