VOLUNTEER GROUP WORK AND SUPPORT ASSISTANT
(AVAILABLE IN CHESTERFIELD, RIPLEY, ILKESTON AND SWADLINCOTE)
15-30 hours per week available

Do you have experience or wish to gain experience within the field of substance misuse? Are you passionate about recovery, seeing and supporting people to succeed in achieving their individual goals?
If so we have great volunteering opportunities available across Derbyshire! We have a range of volunteering opportunities available for 15-30 hours per week within office opening times of Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to volunteer at our main bases in Chesterfield, Ripley, Ilkeston and Swadlincote. The role will involve a range of training and shadowing opportunities as you co-facilitate and support our group work delivery. As a co-facilitator you will support the group worker in delivering a wide range of groups to our service users, you will have a supportive approach to recovery for people with long-term addiction problems. This will be in a group setting where you will support and coach individuals to achieve their individual desired goals.
There may also be additional opportunities for you to support with administrative tasks and attend key work sessions and home visit appointments alongside key workers.
Applicants will be able to demonstrate good engagement skills, a positive approach and can-do attitude, be able to communicate well and can work as part of a wider team.
