MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Visual Merchandising Project Manager, the Visual Merchandising Intern supporting the total Merchandising function, will play an integral role in supporting the implementation of the Visual Merchandising strategy and execution excellence for both the Luxury and Consumer Beauty division in the UK&I.
The VM Intern is an established team player, passionate about Beauty and the In-Store environment, with experience and appetite for owning the creative but also administrative aspect of the business.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Responsible for supporting the Visual Merchandising action and implementation of Permanent and Temporary executions. Day to day support on the implementation of Permanent animations and product launches considering all customer touch points to build customer centric retail concepts. Development of forecasts, briefings, management of external agencies, communication to internal teams, final implementation and reporting. Supporting the visual and video updates across the Permanent estate in collaboration with the VM Project Managers. Key support for new boutique / new door openings, contributing to organise all elements and teams appointed for the launch, attending and actively contributing to physical merchandising days. Conduct monthly visits to key doors to ensure the best VM standards are met and product launches are correctly implemented in store. Collaborate with the creation and updates of VM monthly guidelines ensuring all product launches and animations are communicated to guideline standards. Support of performing administrative tasks for raising Purchase Orders, invoicing, ordering testers and merchandising tools. Integrate sustainability as a key driver of the visual merchandising action.
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE Sandwich degree placement student or recent Graduate in Creative, Marketing or Business related degree.
TECHNICAL SKILLS Ability to manage multiple projects. Creative and conceptualisation skills. Office package literate: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Strong Power Point skills to create outstanding presentations and ability to present to different stakeholders is desirable. Adobe Creative Suit: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign skills are desirable but not essential.
SOFT SKILLS Strong team player who is very well organised with a sense of priorities. Ability to work autonomously and multitask in a fast-paced collaborative environment. A passion for the beauty industry, keenly following the latest trends Strong attention to detail. Creative eye and appreciations of aesthetics. Ability to work effectively to deadlines. Open and diverse work ethic. Eligible to work in the UK
