Visual Merchandising Assistant, Hybrid - Working from home/Capper Street, London
ROLE OVERVIEW
Assisting the VM team with creative mock ups for In store fixtures and POS material as well as supporting with supplier briefs, CAD reviews, artwork, vendor relationships, and producing guidelines. The Visual Merchandising Assistant will support the Senior Visual Merchandiser with projects from planning to execution using their creative background and strong organisation skills to assist with both creative mock-ups and VM tasks such as ordering print elements and managing brands. They will work with external suppliers and brands to ensure stores are a strong visual representation of our brand.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create design proposals for new store fixtures, brand disruption and display, integrating technical designs and constraints (pop up's, window display, stand-alone fixtures, and multiple instore merchandising solutions)
- Assist in customer and brand research, generating ideas fed from customer / market insights
- Create 3D mock-ups to evolve store design
- Put forward creative ideas on store design and displays and produce visuals for internal reviews and sign offs
- Ability to interpret briefs, understand technical constraints and guideline restrictions when creating designs
- Produce guidelines and presentations
- Create order forms on Excel and liaise with suppliers regarding print and fixture production
- Support with daily VM tasks and planning
- Liaise with brands to review CAD files and artwork
- Produce VM print/artworking requirements
- Liase with suppliers regarding print and fixture production. Communicate design intent and manage cost and time constraints
- Store opening set up support, on-site and in the planning stages
- Visit stores for fixture reviews, installs, photography and meetings
SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years of VM and retail design experience
- Proficiency in 3D design, ideally SketchUp Adobe Illustrator, 3D CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Excel
- Strong creative background and sensibility
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to think outside of the box
- Impeccable eye for detail
- Ability to manage fast paced change
- Ability to self-manage workload and multi-task to tight deadlines
- Happy to travel and work overnight when required
