Role
To work within the Garden Centre. Serve customers, provide horticulture knowledge/expertise, maintain plants and equipment. Full- and part-time considered - will include weekend working.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and delivery of plants
- Planting, feeding, pruning and pest control of plants
- Day to Day care and operation of Garden Centre
- Carry out specific projects as directed
- Assist team members when necessary
- Serve customers
- Keep workstations clean and tidy
- Good knowledge of horticulture or relevant garden support service is desirable, however not essential as full comprehensive training will be provided
- Understanding of customer service fundamentals
- An interest in horticulture/gardening
- A “can do” attitude with a positive, calm and polite nature
- Reliable with ability to juggle a number of projects
- Team focused
- Standard Educational Grades
- Experience of working in a Retail or Garden Centre environment is desirable but not essential
