WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive salary starting from £25,600 per annum, based on competence and experience.
- Permanent contract working 39 hours a week and 5 days out of 7.
- Standard working hours will be between Monday to Friday, starting from around 07:30am to 16:00pm.
- Ad hoc work outside of the above hours may be asked of you to meet business needs, however this will be occasional.
- Flexibility on availability to be discussed at interview.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
You have a creative and commercial sense, and you are passionate about inspiring and surprising our customers by presenting and communicating the IKEA home furnishing offer in-store. You have a passion for fast-paced, future-oriented retailing, and an understanding of the trends that influence home furnishing and retail.
- You have relevant experience in visual merchandising, design, or experience of working as a visual merchandiser, preferably within a retail or home furnishings environment.
- This is a fast-paced, hands on role where you will work around the store.
- You are able to inspire, motivate and engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability.
- You continually seek new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same.
- Challenging your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and, at the same time, exceed the expectations of customers.
- Solid knowledge in design planning software including Revit, however, if you have AutoCad experience then you may still be perfect for this role!
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing solutions in your local market.
- Provide inspiring home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products that will support a convenient shopping experience and improve life at home for the many people.
- Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
- Stay updated on trends in home furnishing and retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.
- Planning and implementing the store layout plan to create a visually aesthetic shopping experience that both inspires and ensures continued commercial success.
