Rural Life Museum, Taunton
The Rural Life Museum aims to be a must-see visitor attraction for both local people and visitors to the county. This post is responsible for welcoming visitors to the museum, assisting with the security, maintenance and cleanliness of the site, assisting with events and helping with the museum shop.
A basic awareness of health and safety and premises issues is required, and you must be confident and comfortable with using computers and other technical equipment (e.g. tills).
You should also have a genuine enthusiasm about Somerset’s history and heritage and be keen to share this to inform and inspire our visitors.
This job is a zero hours’ contract which includes working weekends, bank holidays and some evening work. The pay is £10.90 per hour with an additional holiday pay element.
The job will be based at Somerset Rural Life Museum, Abbey Farm, Chilkwell Street, Glastonbury BA6 8DB.
