Visitor Host (Seasonal)
The Visitor Hosting Team provide the first welcome into our beautiful and inspiring Gardens. We are looking for people who are customer-focused and passionate about delivering world class customer service. Kew is a fast paced and ever-changing environment, and our Visitor Hosts will be based either outdoors at any of our four gates or across the Gardens, or inside working on a till system handling admissions, always providing an exceptional welcome, orientation and service to all visitors.
This Summer our Visitor Hosting Team will also be supporting the Wander Project at Kew, a unique experience encouraging people to explore the outdoors and enjoy nature. Visitor Hosts will be the inspiring leaders helping to guide visitors across a series of new trails through the Gardens, inviting people to feel, hear, move and think differently in nature.

We have a range of seasonal vacancies available. All vacancies listed below that specify an average number of hours per week have an ability to work additional shifts to increase the number of hours that you work. The shift patterns that we have available are as follows:
- 1 x 36 hours average per week working four days on, two days off.
- 3 x 32 hours average per week working four days on, two days off.
- 3 x 26.5 hours average per week working four days on, two days off.
- 3 x 16 hours average per week working three days on, three days off.
- 4 x Zero hours contracts working to availability (minimum expectation of providing availability for 50% of weekends and public holidays in a given month).
Successful candidates will have experience working with the public in a fast paced and busy visitor attraction, heritage venue, leisure, or retail environment. Cash handling and the use of IT systems (including till or ticketing systems) are integral to the role, along with a flexible approach to rosters, working locations, and working hours when the Gardens open from 8am to 8pm in Summer months. Collaborative, dependable and enthusiastic people are perfect for this role.

The salary will be £21,500 per annum (pro rata).
