Video Producer Bristol, England

Beeston Media Ltd
Full Time Bristol, England 28000 - 35000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Please make sure you read the How to Apply section carefully.

We are looking for a full-time video producer with a focus on project management skills to join our growing team.

We would consider 0.6 or 0.8 FTE for a great fit candidate who required flexible working.

Who we are:

Beeston Media is a video production company based in central Bristol. We create powerful media content for companies, institutions and non-profits. Our output ranges from scientific explainer videos to superprime property marketing; academic podcasts to hero films. Our core team is 4 full-time staff of two senior directors, a videographer and a junior editor. We also work with freelancers such as animators, copywriters and stylists to cater to our clients’ bespoke requirements.

Job description:

You will be involved in the day-to-day running of client projects. These could be short turnaround projects based on a day’s shoot or longer ongoing projects over the course of a year. You will report to the directors to ensure projects are kept on track from briefing stage to delivery. You will help oversee our videographer and junior editor’s work to make sure their skills and time are deployed efficiently, their talents are valued and innovation is encouraged. You will be client-facing, as creative as you are practical and share our small team’s drive to deliver the best possible product for our customers.

Required skills:

  • At least 4 years production experience in a role that includes pitching, pre-production planning, scripting, location shooting and working with editors in post-production.
  • To be a great multi-tasker and completer-finisher. You’ll get satisfaction from finishing tasks and helping to drive our team to deliver on time and budget on both location and office tasks.
  • You’ll enjoy helping innovate and instigate new systems to improve workflow both internally and externally. We’d consider a production coordinator or account manager who has experience of directing and wants to develop their creative skills.
  • An intrapreneurial spirit to help grow our small team.
  • Genuine excitement about learning new things, telling great stories, and making stuff happen for clients. It’s why we love what we do!

Desirable skills:

  • A scientific degree background or academic degree with a high level of critical thinking is preferred. Some of our work with universities is highly technical. You need to be able to distill academic output and transform it into compelling and factually accurate narrative.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 DOE

Benefits:

  • Flexible holiday entitlement.
  • Dedicated training days for career development.
  • Contribution-based pension scheme.
  • The opportunity to work with us to develop your own role to match your interests and values and complement the skills of fellow team members.
  • A dynamic working environment. Our central Bristol offices are in Hamilton House, Stokes Croft BS1, home to a vibrant community of creatives and regular social events.
  • Two great cafes in our building and an incredible range of eateries nearby.
  • Access to Bristol Creative Industries events through our company membership.
