Role Overview:
The Midweight Video Editor will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of world-class video content across multiple platforms and channels within the JD Group. Working within a busy studio environment you will be required to lead post-production across various video projects including high-profile 360 campaigns, TV campaigns, online campaigns, social media videos and in-store screen videos.
Demonstrating your talent and knowledge of the Adobe Suite, organisational skills, and visual storytelling to deliver on-brand and on-budget high-quality edits as requested by the internal production team. Operating in a group role you will collaborate with a studio team consisting of Videographers, Creatives, Producers, Photographers, Project Managers, Artwork Designers, Stylists, Motion Graphic Designers, and Editors.
Key Areas Of Responsibility
- Produce high-quality video edits for multiple projects within the JD Studio.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our methodology.
- Organising & assembling raw footage from videographers in projects.
- Export & encode video for various channels and platforms, including TV and Cinema.
- Support the planning and production with Producers for various projects.
- Consistently maintain high-quality projects in line with the JD Group guidelines and creative requirements.
- Collaboration with team leaders in the studio ensuring quality delivery of assets on time and on budget.
- Introduce innovative solutions within the studio post-production process where possible.
- Thrive on constructive feedback, actively seeking personal and team development opportunities.
- Provide creative input at the briefing and ideation stages.
- Employ a methodical approach to archive management and file organisation.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
- 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Expert understanding of media production processes.
- Expert knowledge and skill in operating non-linear editing applications with a specialisation in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- An interest in Sound Mixing a plus.
- Basic colour correction/grading knowledge a plus.
- An expert understanding of file encoding and optimisation.
- Must be organised and able to manage relatively high workloads.
- Maintain knowledge of fashion content trends across the industry.
- Able to work accurately, and effectively, maintaining a high level of quality control.
- Must be self-motivated and proactive.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas to line manager and other team members.
- Must be passionate about video and have an interest in retail.
- Desire to develop and gain a greater understanding of the JD Group as a business.
- Appetite to move the creative video forward and create exciting, on-brand campaigns.
