With over 8 MILLION subscribers across our WWE, Gaming, Film/TV and Comics channels, WhatCulture has grown into one of the UK's biggest YouTube brands. And now we're on the hunt for new Freelance Video Editors to help take us even further.
The Job
If you've landed on this page you'll no doubt already be aware... but you can see the kind of content we do here, here and here. The Video Editor role will see you producing our familiar "list" based content.
You will be expected to take a voiceover from one our presenters and turn it into a 10-minute thing of beauty, combining images and footage in tune with the words that are being spoken.
Personal Checklist
Knowledge - For this role, you MUST have a substantial knowledge base of the content seen on the channel you applying for (see above for which channels we're currently accepting applications for).
Skills & Qualifications - The ideal candidate will be experienced with the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro / After Effects / Audition / Photoshop).
Experience - The ideal candidate will have experience editing short form web-based content, most commonly seen on YouTube. The successful candidate will be editing our 'list' based videos, so experience in editing this type of content will improve your chances of being hired.
Be open to collaboration - Be it with established, or up-and-coming video personalities, being open to collaboration is a must.
