THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Video Editor to join Allergan Aesthetics’ in-house creative agency. You are a skilled and nimble creator who will craft and execute high-level video and motion graphics content for our high-profile beauty brands—including BOTOX® Cosmetic and JUVÉDERM— across social content, websites, broadcast video, and more.

You’re an organized and multi-tasking editor who can turn design files and concepts into finished edits. You will be working closely with the in-house creative team, including other editors, designers, and creatives, on storytelling across many video and content platforms. In particular, you’ll be editing for Reels, Stories, and creating social content across multiple projects for multiple media channels.

Allergan Aesthetics brands cross both beauty and medical, so this role would combine the visual aesthetic of the beauty category, with the attention to detail needed for regulatory advertising.

On any given day, this is how you’ll spend your time:

  • Best-in-Class Storytelling: editing footage and text for stellar motion graphics and videos with a strong sense for storytelling, pacing, and watchability
  • Remote Leadership: fully manage all aspects of the video editing process remotely
  • Cross-Platform Editing: An understanding of editing for social and adhering to different platforms and specs
  • Workflow Management: drive all aspects of the video post-production process from ingesting footage, to creating multiple edits for various outlets, to exporting for final delivery
  • Consolidating Cross-Team Feedback: receive and digest feedback from various teams including the Creative Studio Leads, Content and Brand Marketing Teams
  • Archiving Footage: organizing and maintaining our library of work for easy future access
  • Brainstorming and Ideation: finding and conceptualizing new and innovative ways to tell stories and provide education to our consumers

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Best-in-Class Storytelling: 4+ years experience editing, producing and delivering video creative as central role in an edit studio, advertising/digital agency, social media department, or an in-house creative group
  • Video Editing and Motion Design: a portfolio that includes several editing and motion design samples and demonstration of video editing software experience (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
  • Brand Identity: understanding of typography, color, and graphic design, and brand visual systems
  • Advertising: experience with strong storytelling in short advertising edits
  • Digital Media: on the cutting edge of visual social media and digital trends
  • Project Management: familiar with digital asset management and storage systems
  • Beauty/Medical: experience in beauty and/or medical categories
