Job description

The Privacy data risk analyst is a global, firm wide role accountable for supporting maintenance of the taxonomy and glossaries for data privacy classifications. Support with identification and documentation of the data governance and control requirements for firm wide Data Privacy Risk. Liaising with stakeholders in understanding the current processes and requirements, performing analysis, development, and design of metrics, and driving agreement across LOB/CF stakeholders.

Role Qualifications:

  • 5+years of financial services industry experience in data governance, business controls, data/risk management or technology controls preferred
  • Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
  • Experience managing, sourcing, or distributing data and the tools used to support those processes (including Collibra, EBX, Information MDM, or other similar Reference Data or Data Management application)
  • Experience with metrics design and development, perform hands-on data analysis and managing development of metrics dashboards
  • Hands on experience with agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence
  • Strong relationship-building skills, demonstrated consultative approach and proven skill in influencing others
  • Lead and drive communications, stakeholder engagement and resolution of complex issues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to senior leaders
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
  • Capability to coordinate across functional teams, IT professionals, and other key stakeholders

Tools/Methodologies
  • Experience in data management tools (Collibra, Atlassian JIRA)
  • Agile/Scrum experience and associated tools (Confluence, Jira, Kanban)
  • Microsoft desktop productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Experience in business intelligence tools (Qlikview, Tableau) a plus

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to communicate business and technical concepts to both expert and novice audiences, and to all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter and independent worker with organization skills for complex projects
  • Ability to influence executives or responsible parties in a working project team
  • Drive communications, stakeholder engagement and resolution of complex issues
  • Collaborative mindset and team player across diverse functions, locations and businesses
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced and changing environment in a highly regulated industry
