Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Education Services will be responsible for managing and directing educational programming at The Children’s Center of Hamden. The Vice President of Education Services establishes goals and develops policies and procedures for educational programming. The Vice President of Education Services works as a member of the management team of The Children’s Center of Hamden. The Vice President of Education Services will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The Vice President of Education Services will also be in regular contact with both public and private agencies. The Vice President of Education Services will supervise the Principal of Whitney Hall School. This individual shall be aware of and sensitive to the cultural diversity of the client population served.
Education:
In accordance with Connecticut State Board of Education requirements. Certification in School Administration and Supervision (Endorsement #092) and Special Education or Pupil Services.
Previous Experience and/or Training:
Five or more years of experience as an Administrator in an educational setting, preferably in a Special Education program. Proven abilities to plan, implement and actualize educational programing.
