We are looking for a passionate and strategic communicator to join Chase’s communications team as a vice president to manage external communications for payments at Chase.
As a Communications Manager - Vice President, you’ll support both proactive and reactive external communications efforts that help showcase Chase’s payments business while helping to protect the reputation of the firm. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Function Communications, you will work closely with leaders in our payments business and colleagues in Chase’s Connected Commerce business and across Chase’s internal and external communications teams to amplify key messages with consumers, customers and employees. In addition, the vice president will play a key role in supporting crisis communications and reputation management efforts, partnering closely with the firm’s public affairs, risk, legal and regional PR teams.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead both proactive and reactive communications efforts for payments at Chase
- Develop and deliver clear and concise audience-first communications
- Represent the firm in communications working groups for payments with key external partners
- Foster connectivity with key internal stakeholders and partners
- Interact with PR agencies and vendors to support communications efforts
- Draft talking points, briefing documents, bylines and other written materials, as needed
- Conduct research and help track down facts in close collaboration with internal teams
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- 7+ years of relevant external communications experience in a large, matrixed organization or within a PR agency
- Experience working within the payments industry preferred, but not required
- Experience interacting and building relationships with journalists to provide accurate and timely information, including familiarity with tech, digital payments and other relevant media publications, blogs and opinion makers
- Excellent presentation and writing skills
- Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with team members across business and staff areas at all levels to achieve goals
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments and priorities, including proven experience with reputation management or crisis communications
- Team player with an enthusiastic attitude and entrepreneurial spirit who is eager to learn, contribute and make an impact
