Job Title: Vetting Services Advisor
Location: Guildford - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £30,000 DOE
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing clearance applications for employees and contracted staff in accordance with government guidelines and client specific processes.
- Managing leaver’s notifications on client networks when employees and contractors leave the business.
- Liaising with staff to ensure clearance administration is completed in accordance with agreed SLAs.
- Building good working relationships with key clients and vetting authorities
- Ensure a working knowledge and experience of all responsibilities of the Clearances team to ensure continuity in the absence of a team member
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Ability to work with the highest level of discretion and integrity as the role involves working with a considerable volume of sensitive and personal information.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Sound experience of working with Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Desirable
- Previous security clearance / vetting administration experience within the National Security or Defence sector

The Vetting Security team:
Admin and vetting are the initial driving forces within BAE that allows the whole business to function. You will be part of a team that bridges the Security and HR world, which can give oversight and potential opportunity with varied work within a set of admin processes.
Through managing your own workload, you will be able to gain insight and knowledge from Govt and BAE polices and take the correct actions to get individuals up and running within BAE.
