Job description
Academic Registry
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Registry team at the Royal Veterinary College. Founded in 1791, the RVC is one of the largest and longest established veterinary schools in the world and ranked as the top veterinary school in the QS World University Rankings 2022.
We are currently seeking a full-time manager to lead a dynamic, programme support team in a fast-paced office environment for the delivery of our veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing courses. Your key duty will be to lead the team to assist academic staff in organising various course timetables and the preparation of learning materials for the students to deliver an outstanding service. You will also have specific operational responsibilities for a cohort or programme. You will work closely with academic staff and other teams within Registry to manage change, develop processes and achieve results; and will be the key communicator with the wider RVC community on behalf of the course support team.
Members of the course support team are based at both our Camden and Hawkshead campuses; the post holder will be primarily based at the Hawkshead campus, but some travel to the Camden campus will be required.
Excellent planning, organisational and management skills are essential in this role, along with the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative. You will need to be able to quickly develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and maintain a strong oversight across all the courses that fall under your remit. A pro-active, flexible approach to your work is vital to deal with the competing demands and challenges of your daily work.
In return we can offer you a friendly, professional working environment with world class facilities and many opportunities for training and development.
We promote equality of opportunity and diversity within the workplace and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
