Job description
Head Veterinary Nurse – Mid-Sussex Veterinary Clinic – Wivelsfield Nr Haywards Heath, East Sussex
We are looking for an enthusiastic, supportive RVN to join our existing, fantastic nursing team as Head Nurse.
About Us:
We are based in the lovely village of Wivelsfield, very close to Haywards Heath which has great transport links and local amenities. We are only a 15-minute drive from the beautiful South Downs and a 25-minute drive to Brighton. We have a friendly loyal client base, many of which have been bringing their pets to us since we first opened!
We maintain a relaxed, very friendly, and supportive environment with further training encouraged. Our team includes Marie CD and 5 Vets, 5 RVNs, 1 SVNs, 3 receptionists, supported by our practice manager Wendy.
We have a fair rota which allows the nurses to use the skills which they trained for. Our nurses rotate equally between Theatre, Kennels/In- patient care and Consulting. Our vets value these skills and this allows our vets the time to give our patients and their owners a high quality of care.
We work in a purpose-built building with air con! We believe in a good work life balance and ensure everyone gets a lunch break and plenty of refreshments throughout the day. We have a staff room where the team can take their paid lunch breaks or plenty of space outside to go for a walk in the fresh air.
Our practice has grown and our team has grown too! We are looking for a Head Nurse to lead the nursing team and assist the Practice Manager in the smooth running of the practice. Our RVNS are all very experienced and have worked together as a team for many years.
“I have been working at Mid Sussex Vets for 5 years. We have a lovely spacious building to work in at a nice location. The clients are lovely and we have a great team” Cami Jarrett RVN
