Job description
We have an exciting new opportunity for an out of hours nurse to join our team.
The role involves working weekend shifts (Saturday 5-10pm and Sunday 10am-10pm= 16hours/wk, plus participation in the bank holiday rota), primarily supporting our first opinion out of hours service, and providing support to the Small Animal Hospital as appropriate.
The successful candidate would work alongside our dedicated team of nurses, ACA’s and veterinary surgeons, working closely with our on-call veterinary surgeon for the first opinion out of hours service.
As this is an OOH role, the ideal candidate must be able to work well under their own initiative as well as in a team. Excellent time keeping skills and the ability to work well under pressure are also a must as the caseload is extremely variable. For the right candidate, this is an exciting opportunity to fully utilise and develop your nursing skills and gain extensive knowledge in emergency first opinion work, as well as working within the hospital.
Previous experience with OOH’s work is desirable but not essential.

Salary for this role is £25,452.95 to £33,073.27 pro rata depending on experience.
