Veterinary Surgeon Northampton, England
Job description
Job Description
As a progressive, growing and highly successful practice we are on the lookout for an outstanding Veterinary Surgeon to join our expanding, friendly team…
We are a super supportive team, led by our experienced vet Pavel who qualified 17 years ago. The ideal vet to join us would have great communication skills and enjoy building relationships with patients, clients and colleagues. We are the type of Practice where clients know their vets by name and expect to trust them for life. As well as being an exceptional Vet you should also be confident with all routine surgery, medicine and sole charge.
We understand that a good work life balance is important and especially in these challenging times, we aim to enjoy our work, support each other and have some fun along the way! That’s why we have a fully trained Mental Health First Aider on hand and hold regular Wellbeing Treat Days for the whole team.
Here is some feedback from two previous colleagues:
“I highly recommend this practice. I have been a locum vet for Pavel and Caroline for the last few years. I am happy to work for them each time they need me. Amazing and helpful team, experienced vets and nurses and regular client base. Great atmosphere, big nursing team able to support each vet during the shift, very well organised practice. Lovely and friendly reception, family-like atmosphere. If you looking for a great work opportunity this job is for you!”
“Companion Care Northampton is the most welcoming and easy-going team I have worked with during the 4 years I have been a locum vet. It has the benefit of being a smaller, tight-knit team, with no drama or micro-managing; everyone just supports each other and are genuine friends. Even as a locum, I was given full freedom to manage my own cases and was always supported by the nurses, reception team and management. From my experience, most of the clients are friendly locals with reasonable expectations. I regularly covered shifts for around a year and only stopped due to a relocation to Scotland but have stayed friends with the team.”
We will offer £50,000 to £65,000 (pro rata) for the right person to work with us part or full time, between 18-40 hours per week, which will include weekends on a rota basis but no OOH's.
Benefits include:
Enhanced annual leave

Free access to RetailHub, a wellbeing service that includes access to professional support and counselling
CPD allowance and support for Certificates
Free onsite parking

£1000 Welcome Bonus to any Direct Applications not through any agencies. (Must pass 3 month probation)
