We’re looking for a receptionist to join the customer care team Anderson Abercromby Veterinary Referrals at our fantastic purpose-built facility nr Horsham.

Anderson Abercromby Veterinary Referrals is a busy, dedicated small animal orthopaedic referral practice. The Customer Care Team comprises of three receptionists led by an experienced Practice Manager. The Clinical Team comprises four Specialists/Advanced Veterinary Surgeons, twelve RVNs and four VNAs.
Overall, the practice team has a supportive team culture and offers a great opportunity to work at a referral practice. We provide high levels of surgical and inpatient care. We are RCVS PSS accredited.
The Role: This is a part-time position (10 hours per week) over two Mornings 9.00 am – 2.00 pm plus holiday cover for other team members. Further details can be discussed at interview.
The role will be supporting the practice team by greeting clients and visitors to the practice in a friendly and helpful manner and providing high level of customer care. Answering the telephone promptly, taking detailed messages as required and ensuring messages are passed to the appropriate person in a timely manner. Making referral appointments for clients and liaising with referring practices. Ensuring the provision of required documentation for the referral consultations such as x-rays and histories. Taking payments from clients in accordance with Practice policy. Responding to enquires from referral practices via the telephone and email in a timely manner.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will ideally have previous receptionist or customer facing experience. This position will best suit a proactive enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exceptional communication skills. You will be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure and prioritise your workload whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition.
Good spoken and written English, computer literate, organised and of course an animal lover.
