An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join The Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital Team based at our Stroud branch.
This is a full- time position of 40 hours per week, a range of shifts to include Saturdays on a monthly rota with time off given in lieu.
Being a Veterinary Care Assistant is an important part of the Veterinary Practice, Patient and Client care. You will join a team of friendly Vets, Nurses and Receptionists, where you will be trained to work in all areas of the practice, including the laboratory, reception and hospital.
This is an ideal position for anyone wanting a career with animals, or thinking of becoming a Veterinary Nurse.
Duties include: Assisting the Nurses and Vets with animal handling, inpatient care, recovery of patients after surgeries, maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital, running lab samples, assisting reception, assisting vets and nurses in consultations, dispensing medications under supervision, providing excellent client care and occasionally helping cover our branch surgeries in Nailsworth. Applicant Requirements
Be willing to work a varied shift pattern.
It is advantageous to have a full clean UK driving licence and be over 18 years of age.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and very well organised professional who will excel on the care of our patients and clients. Strong communication skills and team player are essential to the role.
