We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Rotherham practice.
Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.
Your key role will be in supporting the clinical team, whilst in addition you will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support the smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.
This a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.
We are offering a full time role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, although we are prepared to negotiate hours with the right candidate.

The attributes and skills required
  • You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role.
  • You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from cleaning out a soiled kennel, moping the floors, doing the laundry, in patient care, comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet; ultimately you want to make a difference to the pets in our care.
  • You are passionate and committed to the caring of animals and your service is matched with your love of pets.
  • You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice giving a great customer service experience.
  • You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available, previous experience in a veterinary industry would be advantageous.
  • You will build strong relationships with our clients, their pets and be a pro-active team player supporting the veterinary team.
  • You are calm, attentive and always focus on the clients’ needs, looking to go above and beyond to create an excellent client experience.
  • Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
