Vets one is an independent, privately-owned Veterinary Practice based over two sites. Currently seeking two successful candidates for this position.
As an Auxiliary Nurse at Vets 1 Group, you will be expected to work within most areas of the practice. Your primary role will be to ensure; the smooth running of the day, cleanliness is maintained, and assisting the team as required. Following a three month probation period there will be a prospect of progressing into a student veterinary nurse role, including a clinical supervisor for support.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively within the team to ensure a steady flow of surgical procedures
- Preparing and maintain multiple sterile theatres including maintaining surgical kit throughout the day as required
- Preparing patients for surgical procedures
- Assist in handling and restraint of patients
- Maintaining stock levels throughout the practice
- Cleaning to a gold level standard helping maintain all areas of the practice
- Support consulting Veterinary Surgeons/Veterinary Nurses as requested
- Unpacking of various deliveries, stock rotation and storage
- Reception duties including maintaining the diary, answering the phones and dealing with client enquiries
Training will be provided with an induction period of tasks required

- Have an understanding of the emotional/physical demands of the job
Qualifications required:
5 GCSE grades achieved – A* to C, or level 9 – 4, including Mathematics, English and science
Previous veterinary/animal work experience desired but not essential
Job Type: Full-time
