About us.....

Arun Veterinary Group (AVG) are “More Than a Vets”. Proudly independent, we are driven to create a better veterinary future for our team. Alongside our night service, South Downs Emergency Vets (SDEV) and our referrals service, South Downs Veterinary Referrals (SDVR), we deliver an exceptional, comprehensive service 24/7

We are a growing small animal practice with 2 state-of-the-art hospitals in Storrington and Chichester, and 4 busy branch clinics in Worthing, Ashington, Pulborough, and Westergate. We are expanding our team and are looking for a passionate vet to join us at our team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Vet to thrive and grow in a positive surgical and medical environment.

Our vision at AVG is to create an encouraging and positive culture where our vets are empowered and inspired to reconnect with their passion. Here we’re all equal and every voice is heard. There are no big egos here. We’re constructive when delivering feedback, encouraging when faced with a challenge, and kind to one another – always. Nobody should come to work fearful, and nobody should feel marginalised, isolated, or undervalued. Inclusivity and collaboration are key in ensuring everyone feels respected and valued. The equality, kindness and closeness that unites our team shapes our working environment; we treat each other and our clients with respect, kindness, empathy, and professionalism.

We are proud of the experience and expertise within our AVG team; many of our vets and nurses hold additional qualifications and have years of experience. We believe in nurturing the talent within our team and provide a comprehensive induction process, regular internal CPD and a generous CPD allowance with certificate funding available.

We offer a wide range of quality services from routine consultations and emergency care through to complex surgery and management of critical cases. Our Advanced Practitioner vets provide referral level surgery, including orthopaedics such as TPLOs and soft tissue surgeries including BOAS. So far this year, we have the already seen the exciting development and growth of our new referral service in ophthalmology and cataract surgery. And, we're counting down the weeks until our new CT Scanner arrives!

We are a close-knit team and there are no cliques here. There is no "them" and "us" when it comes to the day and night teams; we're all here to provide the highest standard of care for our patients by working as one team. We enjoy working together and are sociable outside of work too - not only at our practice events including the summer BBQ and Christmas party, but someone is always arranging a get-together, whether it’s a cheese and wine night, a dog walk, trip to the pub or movie night.
