Boroughmuir Rugby and Community Sports Club are recruiting for a Venue Manager. Working closely with the Limited Company Board the primary aim is to deliver a high-quality profitable service to all customers of the Canalside venue.

Boroughmuir is a club steeped in heritage and provides a place where groups of people across the community can meet and enjoy the comfort of our clubhouse and venue. We have exciting plans for the future and this role offers the opportunity for the right candidate to take ownership, add value and make a difference to our sustainability and growth.

Role Responsibilities include.......

  • Managing the smooth running of the café, bar and venue, and liaising with bar and kitchen staff to ensure consistent and excellent service standards.
  • Liaising with suppliers, and sourcing cost-effective deals.
  • Ensure operations are profitable in line with operational targets.
  • Responsible for all Recruitment, On Boarding, Training and ongoing development of all team members including deployment of staff that meets the needs of the business.
  • Take Ownership of payroll, including understanding procedures, calculating of hours and how to report payroll.
  • Implement licensing legislation ensuring all staff understand procedures and compliance.
  • Ensure that the Club’s responsibilities under Health and Safety and Fire Safety are carried out proficiently.
  • Delivering event management in relation to bar, catering, and facility requirements, including match days.
  • Oversight of all day-to-day management issues
  • Ensure the Club Diary booking system is managed effectively.
  • Complete bars and facilities management administration, reporting to Board Meetings on operational matters as required.

  • Experience of delivering successful results within a hospitality venue.
  • Proven experience of implementing a strong customer experience. Providing robust training, guidance, and development.
  • Strong attention to detail in all administration and compliance to procedures.
  • Work with a pro-active approach to all elements of the role.

Role Details

  • Salary - Basic Salary £26K OTE = £30K (Negotiable, depending on Experience)
  • Working Week = 5/7 days
  • Shifts to meet the needs of the business with flexibility
  • 28 days holiday + Bank Holidays
  • On site Parking
  • Gym available on site

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
