Job description
Take on an operator-role in the ecommerce space.
We buy large D2C brands across the United States and Europe as well as incubate our owns. In the past years we have built a holding of D2C brands currently doing 200Mn in Sales, all bootstrapped and profitable. Now in the next phase of our ecommerce journey we want to buy and operate D2C assets at scale, centralizing their backend functions and consolidating an industry worth $200-250 billion globally and building a holding of next generation retail brands in the process.
For that we have the backing of top VCs across Asia, Europe and the US and hiring top talents to lead on the ground each business.
We like to think about ourselves as 50% operators, Rocket Internet-like and 50% value investor, Berkshire Hathaway-like, as we look for value in diamonds in the rough. The market conditions where are right now for ecommerce are a once in a decade event, the opportunity ahead of us is limitless.
We are searching for a Venture Development Manager for our e-commerce holding company Peak21. (https://peak21.io/)
The position is full-time in our London or Hong Kong office, which is shared with our portfolio companies (Raycon Global, Linjer, Nutrition Kitchen, Know Beauty, Snuggle Me Organic).
What You'll Do
- Learn the in and outs of eCommerce business intelligence from Marketing to Logistics to Amazon PPC to P&L reporting
- Work closely with top management to grow our portofolio companies, scaling growth efforts across multiple platforms and optimizing costs
- Own end-to-end crucial growth workstreams for each business
Who You Are
- You have at least a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, like computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, or business studies
- You have 3-5 years of experience, ideally from a top tier consulting firms or investment bank
- Experience programming for data analysis is a plus (Power BI, QLik, SQL and ideally Python)
- You are fluent in Excel
- Fluent English speaker
- Excellent communication skills
- Extreme rigor when it comes to solving problems and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
