Passenger Car Technician
Gloucester, Gloucestershire
£30,000 - £34,000, dependant on experience. £75 per week shift allowance - late shifts only.
- Mon – Fri, varying shifts available. 1 in 2 Saturdays at overtime rate.
Your Role
At Rygor, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Passenger Car Technician, who has a passion for Setting the Standard for our customers.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, who will be able to control and maximise parts stock and sales and who is able to approach the role with a commercial mindset.
Day to day, you will be:
- Greet customers when they arrive and take a detailed history of vehicle performance or mechanical failure.
- Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer.
- Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain signature approval prior to commencing work.
- Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate.
- Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist.
- Describe vehicle’s condition to customer and answer any follow-up questions.
- File appropriate documentation on each repair
This role will be a great fit for you if:
- You have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Mechanics
- You have previous working experience as a Car Technician or Mechanic
- Some customer service experience advantageous
- You are computer literate and confident using technology.
