Billy`s Vehicle Transport is a company based in Horsham West Sussex. We collect and deliver vehicles for our clients all over the UK, from old classics like MGBs to brand new luxury Range Rovers to the ultimate fast Supercars. Non Running Restoration projects, Breakdown Recovery's and A2B transport. An opportunity to become part of a growing company.
We are looking for Self Employed / Part Time and Full Time drivers with a valid UK Driving License with Category B and/or B + E & Category C1.
Job Role Includes:
- Collection & Delivery of vehicles throughout the UK.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely according to specified procedures.
- Recovering broken-down vehicles to garages or dealerships.
- Conducting regular checks and completing any relevant paperwork.
- Keeping vehicles clean, tidy and in a safe roadworthy condition.
- Carry out general maintenance to the vehicles and yard e.g. washing/valeting.
- Driving a variety of vehicles with different start-up procedures in a safe manner.
- Dealing face-to-face with customers, sometimes in stressful and dangerous circumstances.
Candidate Requirements:
- Be confident, safe and a good driver. Trailer towing experience is desirable.
- Deliver amazing customer service.
- Maintain a friendly, approachable and reliable attitude.
- Be good at communication and problem solving.
- Have good time keeping and planning skills.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Be flexible and adapt quickly to change at last minute.
- Have the ability to adapt to working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Maintain a cool head under pressure with good concentration skills.
- Be willing to work weekends and extended/unsociable hours during peak periods.
- Be physically fit, loading cars is not always easy or straightforward.
- Early and late starts/finishes with some overnight stays away required.
- Be able to take a work vehicle home for callouts/on call (depending on location and parking availability).
We are a Professional Company and expect our Drivers to be Reliable, Smart, Polite and Professional at all times. Enthusiastic/knowledgeable about new and classic cars is desirable.
Comprehensive induction training will cover all aspects of the role. Trailer towing experience is desirable.
Uniforms are provided and in some cases a company vehicle can be taken home for on call purposes.
Up to 60 hours per week.
Overtime depending on availability and request.

Essential Requirements:
- Pass a DVLA check
- Pass a DBS check
- Pass police check (CRB)
- Have held a valid full UK driving licence for a minimum of 5 years due to commercial insurance stipulations.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Good geographical knowledge of UK roads.
- References required.
All candidates are subject to CRB checks / Police Vetting.
Salary will be £12-£15.00 per hour depending on experience, mid week and weekend working flexible. Up to 60hrs per week / depending on work load and agreement.
We are looking for candidates to be available to start this role ASAP.
