Kingston College are seeking a Variable Hours Technician to provide general technical support for effective curriculum delivery across a range of Art & Design subjects and specialist equipment.
The role will involve you working with other Technicians, equipment, administrative staff, Lecturers and students to ensure effective delivery of high quality part time and full time education to students in the School. You will maintain classrooms, studios and workshops and ensure that all users are familiar with the use of equipment, and are conversant with Health & Safety requirements. You will help in the construction of exhibition spaces for College shows and working on cross College events if needed.
Working days and hours are flexible and may vary throughout the academic year depending on the needs of the School. It is anticipated that a requirement for 3 full days, term time, or equivalent, will be needed for the remainder of this academic year.
We’re looking for someone who holds a Level 4 (or above) qualification in Art & Design and who has high level skills across one or more areas of Art & Design. You will have good working knowledge of specialist equipment and resources across a range of Art & Design specialisms, including evidence of understanding relevant Health & Safety regulations, and be able to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines. Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will be adaptable and flexible, comfortable working in an environment of change.
