Job description
An opportunity has arisen to join a well-established independent electrical wholesaler with 8 branches located across Sussex and Kent.
We are looking for a Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to be a part of our busy distribution centres, based in both Hastings and Bexhill, East Sussex.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver goods to site/customers.
- Ensure customers receive a great first impression with excellent service and communication skills.
- Deliver goods to our Phase Electrical Branches.
- Load and unload vans & lorries in a safe and efficient manner.
- Receive/process shipments.
- Pick, pack and ship orders.
- Put stock away.
- Quarterly stock take.
- Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation.
- Always keep warehouses clean and tidy.
- Previous electrical wholesale experience preferred but not essential.
A Full Clean UK driving licence is essential for this role.
Working hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday, however you may be required to start earlier some days (time off in lieu will be offered).
This role may become permanent after a 3 month probationary period.
Please be advised the listed starting salary is minimum wage for those aged 23 or over. Starting salary will be from the National Living Wage appropriate for your age; however, is negotiable depending on experience.
National living wage for those aged 18-20 is £17,526.60
National living wage for those 21-22 is £23,821.20
National living wage for those 23+ is £24,382.80
