Job description
Duties:
- Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo from the van
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures
- Inspect and maintain the van, ensuring it is clean, fueled, and in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding any issues or delays during deliveries
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Previous experience as a courier or van driver is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo safely
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is beneficial
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
