We are looking for a Value Optimisation Lead to join our I&C team based in Solihull on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.

Here's what you'll be doing
The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
We have an exciting new role within our I&C team. For this role, you will develop, model, and evaluate the strategic and commercial levels available to I&C to maximise short-term profit and the long-term value of the business. This role offers a great opportunity to work with various areas of the business, including Legal, Sales and Finance. You will have strong organisational skills and as such will have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders with differing perspectives, needs and priorities. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) approximately 1 day per week.

Key responsibilities
- Work with business segments to provide commercial solutions in consideration of maximising risk/reward decisions, supporting initiatives and value creation.
- Articulate, robust and accurate approval papers that summarise highly complex deal structures to gain support from the appropriate approval authority.
- Work with stakeholders to translate market insight into usable intelligence to inform commercial challenge, innovation, and product development,
- Delivering insight from modelling to influence the decision making through to operational implementation.
- Deliver continual improvement of I&C portfolio understanding along with better assessment of the value drivers available within the I&C market.
- Make recommendations that help to optimise the product portfolio, price structures, customer numbers.
- Calculate and communicate net margin and risk scenarios which may drive changes to business plan assumptions to optimise value across multiple financial periods.
- Detailed financial modelling could include Net Present Value calculations, holistic deal profitability valuations and break-even analysis.
What we need from you
Essential skill requirements
- Exceptional ability to analyse and interpret complex, multiple sources of data and insight.
- Excellent commercial and financial awareness.
- Proven experience of building complex analytical models through Excel, Access and other software.
- Ability to write concise and compelling business cases, proposals and papers at senior management level.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial management.
- Ability to think strategically at a high level and use the detail to assess practicability, as well as dealing with uncertainty.
Desirable skill requirements
- Knowledge of the energy industry, in particular the complex areas of wholesale and retail energy markets, regulation, hedging and pricing strategies.
